Great to see my work for the Switzers featured in The Australian newspaper in the Business Review section on July 1 2017. A really lovely article on the Switzers and their passion for collecting young Australian artists.. Some of the images featured
I have just been in Italy, visiting Masseria Tapana. It was so wonderful to see it finished, all my drawings and concepts realised and being enjoyed by guests. It was the most incredible experience, working on the hotel and now hopefully another property across the road will be purchased and work will start next year!

The lamp we found at an antique market – all restored and looking so smart. The two colours of the blown glass base are lit from within ..

Day trip to Gallipoli
I started and finished the trip in Rome, staying again at the marvellous Villa Spalletti Trivelli. They have added a fantastic spa area on the roof, the perfect place to recuperate after spending the day walking around Rome. While there I went on two fabulous tours I can highly recommend. The first was about the Courtesans of 14th C Rome, a fascinating history of gender, politics and society given by an incredible guide Massimo, http://www.storytellingrome.com. I would go on any of his tours, he was just fantastic. The other was a foodies tour of Trastevere http://www.eatingitalyfoodtours.com – very interesting, gorgeous area and wonderful food!

Great lunch at Al 34 via Mario dei Fiori, Rome. The simple salad of shaved zucchini and truffled cheese was buonissimo!! Another great restaurant close by is Dilla…

Garden at Ninfa – me looking very contented to be surrounded by so much beauty!
After the Masseria, we went to a beautiful villa in Cortona – such an interesting place with a truely incredible Rocca perched above the village – parts of the original walls are Etruscan and 2500 years old…

For my longest term clients I am working on a DA for a property in Albert Park Melbourne. It will be a three storey addition with a roof garden. The drawings are finished and we are embarking on the eye watering process of providing all documentation necessary to lodge the plans. In the meantime, I am having a wonderful time buying things for the eventual house at auction with my client. A highlight below….
A sample board showing the concept for the downstairs room – rug part of the new collection by Armadillo..
The house in its very original condition!
Gorgeous Melbourne- can’t resist a street shot..
Work at Blackheath continues apace. We have been focusing on the garden, moving plantings, levelling areas and making new vegetable beds. A new BBQ is nearly finished, and will be ready for the summer months..
The start! Framework for the new slab to support the BBQ and level the area adjacent to the chess board.
In and waiting for the stone top.
Stone top installed..
Veggie Beds and a new space for the sculpture from Parterre Gardens. It had been lost in the front garden bed and has a new lease on life with room to move!
The new table from Globe West and Robert Plumb chairs in the outside dining area, looking splendid!
I am working on a small scale project in Paddington. My client moved into the a renovated terrace and after having lived there for a couple of years wants to update the interior. We are focusing on new flooring, window treatments and a fantastic grass cloth for the master bedroom. Proposed finishes reflect an organic and textural focus, the herringbone seagrass for the floor is a smart and very classic foundation that works beautifully with the Boyd Blue wallpaper and the subtle Westbury ikat print of the curtains.
As part of the ongoing project that is Bellevue Hill, I thought I would share these images.
The sofa is covered in a fabulous Kelly Wearstler linen for Groundworks, paired with an embroidered textile from her range.
Waiting to renovate the kitchen has been very difficult! I am keeping my spirits up by the premature installation of one of my favourite lights, the Heraculum by Mooi..
I am in love with the English habit of planting bulb flowers as interior flowers. I have put these daffodils in an old copper jam pot I found in a great antique shop in Milton years ago. The desk was my Grandmothers, now happily ensconced outside my television room.
The garden around the pool is flourishing, a photo from late summer..
My clients had owned this investment apartment for a few years and wanted to give it a face lift. I chose a neutral palette to lighten the rooms and create a harmonious space, replacing the existing oppressive and dark finishes.
An image of the kitchen before the renovation, we opened up the entrance and reduced the bulk of the corner to make a more open layout.
The floorboards being laid and carcasses for the kitchen going in…
and the final result!
Clients, originally from Potts Point, moved to a harbourside apartment in Elizabeth Bay and wanted to make some changes. The bedroom had existing blue silk walls and they wanted help creating a scheme for the bedroom. I used a Kravet fabric from a Jerffrey Alan Marks collection called waterpolo, that perfectly compliments the shimmering harbour visible from the windows. Eichholtz bedside lights look crisp and smart against the blue walls and add to the nautical feeling of the room, as do the new bedside tables from Casa Mia.

I am working on a renovation project in Woolwich. The client needed to update existing furniture and wanted to create an elegant and welcoming space. I have a before and after picture..a pair of occasional chairs and side tables will go in next week and I will take a shot of everything once it is installed. Paintings and accessories need to be resolved as well… The TV room will be finished next month, so will post a pic of that too. Both rooms are visible as you move down a central corridor, so the shimmery blues of the sitting room deepened to inky, indigos in the TV room to add contrast and work with the warmer oranges that the client loved for the cosier area. I designed and had made the wood framed coffee tables for the sitting room…
Angus and I went to India at the end of June. I have always wanted to go and leapt at the chance to join a group trek organised by Angus’s school to visit a school they built in the mountains in the North of India. All was wonderful until we reached Leh – Ladakh 3500m above sea level. Angus got altitude sickness and we ended up flying out to Delhi. I never wore the trekking shoes but a couple of silk dresses I had packed just in case got a work out! We stayed in the most wonderful hotel – The Imperial, built in the 1920’s by the English it is an extraordinarily well maintained example of colonial deco. I am planning to go back and travel to Rajasthan – I loved the country and was overwhelmed by the scale and beauty of the architecture.
